International Premiere Captivates Audience and Reviewers Alike

On Saturday, November 19 Liberation Day was finally unleashed on an international audience in the sold-out 500-seater Rabozaal Theatre in Amsterdam’s renowned Melkweg concert complex. With a custom-made video introduction by philosopher superstar Slavoj Zizek, the screening itself was followed by a Q & A with directors Ugis Olte and Morten Traavik, setting the stage for a special Laibach live concert which, in the almost magical flow of this totalkunst evening, became like a continutation of the film proper.

Among the glowing reviews were Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw and Variety’s Guy Lodge, calling the film “extraordinary” and “packed as it is with pointed observations on diplomacy and censorship in a country that’s still a mystery to many.”
